I make art based on personal narrative.
Sometimes the story is my own - derived from memories of growing up in England, in a
mining town, living in the house of my grandfather, who was at that time still working in the mine.
Sometimes the personal narrative
is from the lives of other people, which I explore through collaborations with other artists and writers, and in public art projects.
